What we learned @ ORIF Lisbon 2022

The ORIF Lisbon 2022 event was a great opportunity to finally get together again in person with other members of the Oracle community and exchange ideas on the latest trends in the retail industry.

We also had an insight on the new features of the Oracle Retail suite which provide a modern approach to the current challenges and expectations of retailers.

Based on the recent years experiences, Oracle enhanced the Modern Retail Platform for their Cloud Solutions.

Key service principles are:

  • Performant:  secure the retail organization to deliver more in less time, increasing revenue.
  • Scalable:  meet any changing needs of an organization of any size.
  • Transparent:  re-enable retailers in the cloud to access consistent data
  • Fully documented: via Retal Reference Model, retailers are secured for a faster transition and enhance returns on their investments
  • Extensible: enable retailers to add their own extensions in APEX low code/no code

Due to the drastic expansion of retail workflows in the recent years, Oracle not only unified its cloud services data store, but also moved the customer, as one of the key information in the business to the foundation data scheme.

The AI Foundation built on top of this new data store ensures that Oracle Retail Cloud Services truly become next generation services: to secure customer success.

In order to decrease the chance of an expensive, risky and complicated cloud migration, Oracle also introduced Soar.

Oracle Soar is a rapid, automated cloud migration platform, which puts preparation and planning in focus to de-risk migrations to the cloud.

We are looking forward to Oracle’s new platform enhancements and also to the upcoming ORIF event in Dubai in October!
