How Quickborn helped Auchan getting meaningful ROI on supporting OSCAR

Auchan is an international retailer, having more than 450 stores across the world and it had been ranked lately N°16 on the top 100 worldwide retailers (source Auchan). The central IT organisation of Auchan, also known by DPF is managing the whole textile supply chain and transactional data via the Oracle Retail suite (MOM v13) and sooner migrating toward the v16.
Quickborn covered OSCAR (RMS v13) perimeter support up to 2 years, during which, several optimizations and stabilizations projects had been driven with Auchan key business users and IT department.

This collaboration led to the following:
Mass Maintenance v2:

Mass Maintenance is tool conceived by QB to apply mass changes to Auchan allocations, it is also used to control the status, dates and quantities by zone down to a store level so that we avoid double preparation/expedition toward the logistics.
The tool enhanced Auchan capacity to absorb the high loads periods prior the sale periods and more often the holidays periods. With mass changes, QB helped Auchan save time, money and resources, thanks to a fully automatised process.

Pre-referencing tool: thanks to SMART (platform developed by QB), auchan injected 2 new subclasses (underwear m&w) into the system.
QB engineered solutions for several recurring problems.
OAF

In December 2018, 200k-300k allocations could be injected as maximum capacity, due to bad process engineering. In December 2019, more than 1 million allocations were injected as manageable capacity, thanks to optimised process and the multi-threading capacity of the new processes.

RMS stabilisation: the rework of the main batches led to

    1. more accurate control of value chain from alloc to shipment
    2. enhanced and optimised logging features for quick check-up and intervention
    3. upstream control and validation of the invoicing processes

The Rework has return on investment on indirect costs that reached in 2018 only in invoices more than 4 million EUros due to errors. Technical return on investment: purged tables on the aval and amont processes, with a distinct benefit to auchan – maximum gain on resources, servers, databases, racks and exploitation direct and indirect costs.
